GEORGE RETEK TROPHY / TROPHÉE GEORGE RETEK
The District 1 Board of Directors, on George Retek’s retirement from the ACBL Board of Directors, decided to honour George for his many years of service, by honouring District 1 members, who, like George, donated many years of exemplary service to their Unit and/ or District.

Named after outstanding deceased National Tournament Directors from District 1, was established in 2015 to recognize the best ethical behavior and/or excellence in tournament, disciplinary or appeals administration in our District.

ERIC KOKISH TROPHY / TROPHÉE ERIC KOKISH
In 2023, ACBL District 1 decided to honor Eric’s memory by recognizing his contribution to the younger players, some of whom have gone on to become Canadian and international stars. A trophy will be awarded annually to a young player (25 and under) in the district, based on performance-related criteria.
